Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Each year more than 30% of our new students are transfers. We welcome applications from students in good academic standing from an accredited college or university.
  • Transfer Agreements:
    The College also participates in official 2+2 Dual Admission Agreements with selected two-year colleges. Students must apply and be accepted into the 2+2 Dual Admission Agreement at the beginning of their community college coursework.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    All college and high school official transcripts are required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A personal recommendation from a pastor, or teacher familiar with your character and values, is required. An essay is also required.
  • Essay:
    A personal statement of at least 200 words is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    For students from regionally accredited colleges and universities, credit is usually accepted for courses in which the grade is C- or above. Developmental courses, pre-college courses, and courses in some disciplines will be excluded.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer credit from baccalaureate degree programs is limited to 90 semester hours plus three hours of physical education credit. In no case can more than 72 semester hours be accepted from colleges authorized to grant only an associate's degree.
