Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official final transcripts from your secondary school and all post-secondary institutions you’ve attended should be sent to the Office of Admissions.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official final transcripts from your secondary school must include SAT or ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A College Official's Report and a College Instructor Evaluation Form are required.
  • Essay:
    Include a letter explaining the reasons you wish to transfer to Rhodes.
  • Application Fee:
    You may apply either online or by traditional paper application. And while we waive the $45 application fee for online applicants, all applications receive equal consideration.
  • Interview:
    If possible, schedule a campus visit and interview with one of our Admissions staff. It’s not required, but it gives us an opportunity to know you beyond the information on your application.

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C-.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum credit accepted for transfer credit is 64. You must take 64 credits in residence at Rhodes to earn a bachelor's degree.
