  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Because Ramapo is a state-assisted college, the cost of attending is affordable compared to many other institutions. There are three forms of student financial aid for which application can be made: Grants, Loans, and Work/Study Payments.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Have a 2.0 cumulative grade point average as well as a 2.0 grade point average in the major.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions is required. You also must submit your official high school transcript is you have fewer than 45 transferable credits.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students who apply and will be transferring in more than 45 college credits need not submit high school transcripts or SAT/ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    One letter of recommendation is suggested. Nursing applicants are required to submit two letters. You must submit a Transfer Candidate's Form which has been completed by the Dean at your previous college.
  • Essay:
    Ramapo does not publish a requirement for the submission of an essay or personal statement.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a nonrefundable $60 application fee ($75 for international applicants).
  • Interview:
    Ramapo does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer course work completed at a regionally accredited college/university or program with a grade of C (2.0) or better will be considered for admission, provided it is consistent with Ramapo College's curriculum.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students must complete a minimum of 48 credits in residency in Ramapo course work and a residency of at least one half the requirements for a major (second major and/or minor) to qualify for a Ramapo College degree.
