  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    To be considered for scholarships and grants, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Quincy University’s FAFSA school code is 001745. Transfer scholarships are awarded on three levels ranging from $8,000 to $17,000 per year to qualified students who have attended another college. This renewable award is based on the student’s cumulative grade point average at the previous institution.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    The total estimated tuition (books included) is $31,160. Approximate Resident Charge (room & board): $11,050 Freshman, $12,250 Continuing & Independent. Your actual costs may vary slightly because fees, room cost, transportation and personal expenses

    Vocational classes are not accepted for credit.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    You must submit official college transcripts from each college/university attended. Your High School transcripts are required if you do not have an Associates Degree or have less than 60 transferable credit hours.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official ACT or SAT scores are required if you have less than 11 hours.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Students who have earned the AA or AS degree in a baccalaureate transfer program from a regionally accredited college will have satisfied all Quincy freshman and sophomore general education requirements with the exception of 6 hours in Theology.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A maximum of nine semester hours of “C-/D” will transfer to Quincy University. Normally, acceptance of “C-/D” for transfer courses is limited to freshman and sophomore level courses.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The number of credit hours from community colleges is limited by the requirement that you must earn 56 semester hours or the equivalent from approved four-year colleges. These must include a required minimum of 30 semester hours in residency at QU.
