    Portland State University students should use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for financial aid. If you are not eligible to submit the FAFSA, you can submit the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA). If you are an eligible Oregon resident, you can finish your degree at PSU and pay no standard tuition and fees through our Transfers Finish Free program.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Charges for attending PSU are determined based on number of credits taken, residency status, and undergraduate/graduate class standing.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Students with 30 or more transferable college quarter credits (20 semester credits) will be reviewed for admission as transfer applicants.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.25, or 2.00 if you present a transferable associate degree or an Oregon Transfer Module (OTM)
  • Official Transcripts:
    You are required to submit individual transcripts from each college or university where you registered for any coursework.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer applicants are not required to submit test scores (SAT or ACT).
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement may be required of some applicants.
  • Application Fee:
    $50
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required of some applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    Completion of WR121 or equivalent with a grade of C- or better. Meet Second Language Admissions Requirement (Oregon High School graduates only). A statement of good standing from prior institutions may be required of some applicants.
