Plymouth State University is a regional comprehensive university offering a rich, student-focused learning environment with an enrollment of approximately 4,300 undergraduate and approximately 3,000 graduate students. The 170-acre campus offers a New England classic look combined with up-to-date facilities including the Lamson Library and Learning Commons; the Boyd Science Center; Langdon Woods, a LEED certified, environmentally conscious residence hall; and PSU’s newest addition, a Welcome Center and Ice Arena. Located in central New Hampshire at the gateway to the White Mountains and the Lakes Region in the quaint town of Plymouth, PSU is within minutes of ski resorts, lakes, and parks and only two hours from Boston.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement is 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official copies of all college transcripts, including grades from most recent semester completed. Official high school transcripts indicating the date of graduation are required as well.
  • Essay:
    A well-written essay on one of the subjects listed on the application is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Plymouth State may request a personal interview for admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    PSU requires a completed Common Application Supplement be submitted.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    For a course to be transferred, it must have a grade of ‘C’ or better. A course must include subject matter that is at least equal to the content level of course work offered at PSU and be appropriate for your degree program.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The max credits accepted from a 2-year school are 65, and 90 from a 4-year. You must earn 30 credits at Plymouth State to earn a bachelor's degree.
