  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The mission of the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is to assist a diverse student population in obtaining financial aid to support their educational endeavors through accurate, courteous and timely service. Our service-oriented staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to provide the many services offered to current and prospective Pittsburg State University students.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To qualify for admission, a transfer student must have a minimum cumulative college grade point average of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Request official transcripts from all previously attended institutions be mailed directly to PSU. Students with less than 24 college credits will be required to submit additional information including a final high school transcript or GED scores.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students with less than 24 college credits will be required to submit additional information including ACT scores.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $30 application fee.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Students transferring to PSU with an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science may meet general education requirements through one of two options, transfer articulation or by completing the general education courses as listed in the catalog.

  • Minimum Grade:
    All courses completed at previous institutions are recorded on the student’s permanent record at Pittsburg State University. All grades, including “D’s” and “F’s”, are used in determining the student’s cumulative grade point average.
