Pierpont Community & Technical College is a comprehensive community college serving thirteen counties in north central West Virginia. Sharing a 120-acre main campus with our partner institution Fairmont State, we offer students the responsiveness of a community college with the amenities of a university. With an enrollment of more than 2,600 students, we offer more than 50 associate degree programs, skill sets and certificates, as well as a variety of courses at more than 15 sites throughout our region. Through our Center for Workforce Education, we provide workforce training and community educational opportunities. Our Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center offers programs in flight and aviation maintenance.

    Pierpont Community & Technical College operates an ‘‘open door’’ admission policy.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have fewer than 15 earned credit hours, ACT, SAT, or COMPASS are also required. ACT/SAT with specific scores may be the required test for specific programs; please refer to the catalog for details.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students must have completed in residence at Pierpont at least 15 credit hours of the total hours required in an associate degree or 8 credit hours of the total required in a certificate program.
