Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Yes, Penn College encourages and accepts transfer students for fall, spring, and summer semesters.
• Transfer Applications Accepted:
  With very few exceptions, all transfer applications are accepted into the College. However, each major may have unique admission requirements. See https://www.pct.edu/academics.
• Transfer Agreements:
  The College has more than 100 articulation agreements with other schools in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

• Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
  Technical and vocational course credits are accepted in a wide variety of our technical majors. See https://www.pct.edu/academics for more information.
• Credit For Life Experience:
  Life experience credit for college-level learning is awarded for many Penn College courses. See https://www.pct.edu/admissions/transfer/experienced-based-credit for more information.

Application Deadlines for Transfer

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  You must earn a grade of C or better for courses transferred to Penn College unless an articulation agreement with your prior school establishes other criteria.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official transcript(s) from previously attended college(s) must be sent to the Penn College Admissions Office directly from the college – not from you. The Admissions Office also may require you to request a copy of your high school transcript.
• SAT Scores:
  SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission into Penn College.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  No letters of recommendation are required.
• Essay:
  No essays are required for admission.
• Application Fee:
  $0
• Interview:
  No interviews are required for transfer students.
• Associates Degree Required:
  In certain majors, an associate's degree is required for enrollment. See https://www.pct.edu/academics for more information.
• Other Requirements:
  See individual school's websites for specific information about enrolling in programs: http://www.pct.edu/academics. The School of Health Sciences has special admissions requirements for many majors.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  You must earn a grade of C or better for courses transferred to Penn College unless an articulation agreement with your prior school establishes other criteria.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  30 transfer credits maximum in associate’s degree/certificate. Must complete 18 of final 30 credits at Penn College. Each bachelor’s degree has specific transfer procedures (see curriculum pages). Must complete 36 of final 60 credits at Penn College.
