  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to begin the financial aid application process. The application may be filed as early as January of the year you plan to attend ORU. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. ORU will receive your results within 72 hours. Financial aid can only be offered after we receive your FAFSA results. Federal, state and institutional funding is limited. Apply for Admission and Financial Aid by February 15 for priority consideration.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    To be considered a transfer student, you need to have completed 15 or more college credit hours from a regionally accredited or otherwise recognized post-secondary institution since completing high school.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To be considered for admission as a transfer student, you must have a 2.0 or higher cumulative college GPA. If you have attended more than one institution, the GPA from each school will be combined to calculate your cumulative GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    In addition to your college transcript, you will need to have the high school from which you graduated send a final official high school transcript or official GED score report to the Oral Roberts University Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students who have completed 15 credits or more at an accredited college or university after high school graduation do not have to submit an ACT or SAT score.
  • Essay:
    There are 3 short answer personal statements required on the application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is $35 non-refundable paper application fee, which is waived if you apply online.
  • Interview:
    ORU does not require a personal interview for admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    Please submit a copy of your immunizations.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    ORU will accept courses in transfer from regionally accredited institutions, providing a grade of "C" or higher is earned
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 64 semester hours of junior college and 98 credit hours from a 4-year institution may be transferred. The last 30 semester hours of a degree program, including at least 6 hours in the major field and the senior thesis, must be taken at ORU.
