Northern Maine Community College was established in 1961, and the first class entered the college in 1963. Today, NMCC impacts over 2,000 students annually through various programs. To determine if you are eligible for financial aid and grants to attend Northern Maine Community College you are required to correctly fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). You will also need to complete NMCC’s financial aid application.

Transfer Application Requirements

Official Transcripts:

College transcripts must be submitted to the admissions office by applicants who have attended other colleges or postsecondary schools, as well as your high school transcript.
Essay:

An essay explaining why you wish to attend NMCC and study the program you have selected is required.
Application Fee:

An NMCC application form must be submitted to the admissions office, accompanied by a non-refundable $20.00 application fee.
Other Requirements:

Placement testing, individual interviews and campus tours are required, in most cases prior to admissions notification.

Transfer Credit Policy

Minimum Grade:

Transfer credit from accredited institutions may be awarded for grades of C or higher in courses comparable to those offered at NMCC.
