Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and must be eligible to return to the regionally accredited institution they most recently attended to be considered for admission to NKU.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, even if you are currently in classes. If you are transferring in less than 24 semester hours, you will need to provide official high school transcripts
  • SAT Scores:
    If you are transferring in less than 24 semester hours, you will need to provide ACT/SAT Scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    There is no Letter of Recommendation requirement.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    $25 online application fee.
  • Interview:
    You are not required to interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum acceptable grade for transfer credit is D.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is a minimum credit requirement of 24. There is no maximum requirement; however, you must complete 20 credits at NKU to earn an associates degree and 30 to earn a bachelors degree.
