  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Credit for non-equivalent college-level professional, occupational courses will be considered up to a maximum of sixteen credits to be used as electives. “technical electives”
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Students who can demonstrate equivalent college-level knowledge and skills may receive college credit for prior learning from experiences such as: Work, Seminars/Workshops/Training, Non-credit college courses, Independent study, and Military service.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All college courses with a grade of A, B, C, D or P will be considered for transfer evaluation. However, if a student’s cumulative GPA at the originating institution is less than 2.00, no “D” grades will be accepted in transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    NHCC does not limit the number of credits students may transfer into the college. Not every credit will apply to the degree/certificate program. A minimum of 15 semester credits must be earned in residence at NHCC to earn an associate degree.
