Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.25 is required of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college or university transcripts from all schools previously attended and Official high school transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official ACT or SAT scores if fewer than 27 transferable credits have been earned.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    OPTIONAL information we will consider are letters of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    OPTIONAL information we will consider are writing samples.
  • Application Fee:
    Amount of application fee is $25 for paper application. Amount of application fee is free for online application.
  • Interview:
    North Central College does not publish a requirement for an interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a D or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer applicants must have a minimum number of 27 credits completed or else must apply as entering freshmen. Maximum number of credits that may be transferred from a two-year institution is 60 and there is no limit from a four-year institution.
