Normandale is the largest community college in Minnesota with an enrollment of close to 15,000 students and a Continuing Education and Customized Training (CECT) division that provides our workforce with competitive skills, yet, it still maintains a small college feel in the world-class City of Bloomington. Normandale is also home to an extraordinary Japanese Garden which has become a destination and a beautiful community resource we are proud to host. Our campus community is diverse and includes students, faculty and staff from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and beliefs.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    File for the FAFSA School Code 007954. If you complete your financial aid file at another school and later decide to attend Normandale during that same school year, you must complete your financial aid file at Normandale. Financial aid doesn't transfer from one institution to another. To get that process started, you must add Normandale to your processed FAFSA. Scholarships generally range in value from approximately $375 to $3000 annual awards and are primarily available for full-time students.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Up to 16 credits of public or private regionally accredited technical college coursework shall be considered for credit if the coursework was completed with a grade of P, C or higher.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Except for those students transferring from other Minnesota State colleges and universities, transfer students must submit official transcripts from all colleges they have attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    Submit copies of score reports from any previous ACT, SAT or course placement testing you have completed.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All college courses with a grade of A, B, C, D or P (Pass) at regionally accredited post-secondary institutions shall be considered for transfer. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all college-level coursework is required for graduation.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no min/max for transfer credits. You must complete at least 15 credits in residence at Normandale to earn an associate degree, and 1/3 of required credits for a certificate.
