    Transfer Academic Scholarships awarded automatically upon acceptance range from $11,000 - $15,000 per year! Students may also qualify for a PTK Scholarship, Dual Advising Scholarship, or an Associate's Degree Incentive Scholarship to be added on top of the Transfer Academic Scholarship. The FAFSA is highly recommended, and there is no limit to the amount or type of outside scholarships that can be utilized at Newman University!

    Admission is automatically granted to applicants with a minimum cumulative 2.25 GPA on a 4.00 scale from nationally-accredited colleges or universities.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer applicants must submit official transcripts from each accredited college or university where coursework was attempted, as well as official transcripts for any in-progress coursework.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT scores are not required of transfer applicants for the admission process.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are not required of transfer applicants for the admission process, however they may be required if the applicant applies separately for a cohort program, such as Nursing, for example.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required of transfer applicants for the admission process, however they may be required if the applicant applies separately for a cohort program, such as Nursing, for example.
  • Application Fee:
    The online application is FREE, with the exception of a $25 application fee for international applicants ONLY.

    Newman does not publish a minimum grade requirement for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum amount of community college transfer credit which may be applied to a baccalaureate degree is 62 credit hours. (Sixty-two (62) credit hours from a four-year college/university are required for a bachelor’s degree.)
