Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    New River does not publish a minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions are required. If you have fewer than 30 transferable credit hours, your official high school transcripts are also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    A copy of your ACT, SAT, Compass, or Accuplacer test scores are required if you have not taken and passed a college level Math and English course. (The Compass test may be taken at New River by contacting the Program Coordinator for testing).
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    New River does not publish a requirement for the submission of letters of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    New River does not publish a requirement for the submission of an essay or personal statement.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no application fee.
  • Interview:
    New River does not publish a requirement for a personal Interview.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students who were born on or after January 1, 1957, are required to provide proof of immunity to measles and rubella.
