Minimum GPA:
Transfer students who have completed 16 or more semester credit hours of postsecondary schooling
will be admitted in regular status provided they have at least a C or 2.0 cumulative grade point average in all college or university coursework. Degree-seeking probationary admission will be considered for transfer students with a cumulative grade point average below C through the individual review process as denied for probationary admission. The minimum college grade point average required of transfer
applicants is a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
Official Transcripts:
Transfer students please have official transcripts sent from each college you have attended. If you have fewer than 16 semester credits, your official high school or GED transcripts are required.
SAT Scores:
If you have fewer than 16 semester credits, your official ACT or SAT scores are required (if taken).
Essay:
An essay is not required.
Application Fee:
Once the application process is complete, print the signature page and mail it to the address listed including the one-time, non-refundable application fee of $15.00.
Interview:
An interview is not required.
Associates Degree Required:
Students transferring from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with an earned associate
degree will have New Mexico Highlands University proi ciency, extended core, and minor requirements
waived.
