Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    You will need to forward us your official transcripts from each institution attended. If you have earned fewer than 12 college credits, your official high school transcript or GED scores are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have earned fewer than 12 college credits, your official ACT/SAT test scores are required. If you are 25 or older or have graduated high school more than 5 years ago test scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    If you have earned fewer than 12 college credits, You must submit 2 letters of recommendation from your high school guidance counselor, teachers, or principal regarding your character and readiness to undertake college-level work. Adult students may

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credits will be granted for those courses carrying a letter grade of "C" or better and applicable to your degree requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum number of transfer credits accepted into NJCU is 96, of which 66 can be from community colleges and other 2-year schools.
