Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Neumann is a private, Catholic, co-educational University in the Franciscan tradition, which emphasizes respect for individuals, concern for the environment, and social responsibility. The University offers undergraduate degrees in a broad variety of subjects, seven graduate programs, and an accelerated bachelor's degree program for adults. Neumann now fields nineteen NCAA athletic teams, is home to nine arts groups, and has three residence halls that accommodate more than 770 students. The student-faculty ratio of 14:1 allows professors to provide the personal attention for which Neumann is famous.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.0 minimum for most majors; 2.5 minimum for Nursing (In addition to a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, first-time science courses cumulative GPA must be a 2.5 or above)
  • Official Transcripts:
    All official transcripts from every institution attended are required. If an associates degree is not awarded, official final high school transcripts or GED are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Admitted students' average SAT score range has been between 800 and 1100 (an ACT range of 16-24) with the Critical Reading and Math sections combined. It is required that students applying for Nursing and Athletic Training have a combined SAT total of 850.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Recommended, but not required.
  • Essay:
    Recommended, but not required.
