Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  The College offers federal and state grant and loan programs to matriculated students enrolled in an approved degree granting program. Students who require financial aid should apply early for both admission to the College and for financial aid programs.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Credit For Life Experience:
  Opportunities are available to students through a policy of credit allowance for “life experience” and “credit by examination.”

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Minimum GPA requirements vary by program.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official copies of your high school transcript — or a GED certificate — and previous college transcripts are required.
• SAT Scores:
  Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and/or American College Test (ACT) scores are not required, but can be helpful in making a positive admission decision when a student does not meet the criteria for a particular program.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Though not required, letters of recommendation from faculty are recommended.
• Essay:
  Not required for general admissions consideration.
• Application Fee:
  There is a $50 application fee.
• Interview:
  Some programs require an interview.

  Requirements for admission to specific programs vary, including application deadlines.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Only equivalent courses with a grade of “C” or higher relevant to a student's degree requirements at Nassau will be accepted from other colleges to apply toward a degree.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  Although a minimum of 33 credits must be completed at NCC to earn a degree, the College may transfer additional courses in case students change their program of study while in attendance.

• Number of Transferring:
  Nearly seventy percent of NCC graduates transfer to four-year institutions.
• Transfer Agreements:
  Information regarding articulation agreements that the College has arranged with other institutions are available for students to review at the Transfer Counseling Office.
