  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Academic Scholarships are awarded to transfer students based on the student’s GPA attained at the previous college. A Transfer Academic Scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded to students with a 3.50 college GPA, $2,000 with a 3.00, and $1,000 with a 2.00.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    MVNU does not publish a minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    You are required to submit official high school transcripts, as well as official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions you have attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    MVNU requires the submission of official standardized test scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    endorsement of good standing from the institution last attended is required. This includes a transfer reference. A character reference form must also be completed.
  • Essay:
    MVNU requires the submission of a personal statement on the application form.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply.
  • Interview:
    MVNU does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credit is granted only for those courses for which a grade of C- or better was earned.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Up to 94 hours of credit may be accepted from other accredited 4-year institutions, or up to 64 hours from junior/community colleges, provided the courses are comparable to MVNU. 30 of the final 45 semester hours of credit must be earned from MVNU.
