    The total estimated cost of attendance for full-time, resident students is $46,468 which included tuition, fees, and room/board. Estimated books and supplies cost is $800-$1200 per year.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    You'll feel welcome at Mount Mercy - many of our students have transferred in from other colleges. We make it easy by accepting up to 93 credits, providing personalized advising, and offering guaranteed admissions programs.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    We allow up to 30 credits through APEL (Assessment of Prior Experiential Learning) which permits students to request that substantial work-related or other prior learning experiences and accomplishments be evaluated for potential academic credit.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Strong consideration will be given to applicants with a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all colleges attended are required. High school transcripts are required if you don't have an associate degree.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    In accordance with articulation agreements with all Iowa community colleges, associate degree holders with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA will be automatically accepted for admission.

    We accept up to 63 credit hours from a 2-year college and 93 credits from a 4-year college. Students transferring from an Iowa community college may transfer additional credits.
