  • Accepts Transfers:
    Applicants who have earned 12 or more semester credits at another accredited college or university are considered transfer students.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A non-Montana resident transfer student must be in good standing and have at least a 2.00 cumulative grade point average.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If you are a transfer student, request official, complete transcripts from all previous institutions to be sent directly to the Office of Admissions. A high school transcript may be required of some applicants.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores may be required of some applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C- (D is accepted for electives).
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no maximum number of credits that may be transferred. You must complete 20 credits at MSUBillings to earn your associate degree, and 30 credits at MSUBillings to earn your bachelor's degree.
