Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  In addition to need based aid, full time transfer students are eligible for a variety of merit based scholarships. These scholarships are renewable and range from $1,000 to $12,000 per year.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Mitchell requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 for transfer. The "typical" transfer student applying to Mitchell College has an average GPA of 2.70.
• Official Transcripts:
  The submission of official high school and postsecondary school transcripts is required.
• SAT Scores:
  The submission of standardized test scores is optional.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Mitchell requires a letter of recommendation.
• Essay:
  For your Personal Statement, please feel free to attach a written essay, poem, cassette, video, etc. to your application. We request that you take time on this very important part of your application.
• Application Fee:
  There is a nonrefundable $30.00 application fee.
• Interview:
  Mitchell does not publish the requirement for a personal interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Transfer credit is granted for courses in which a grade of "C" or better was earned. These courses must meet the requirements of the curriculum satisfying either a requirement or an elective.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  There is a minimum of 30 credits to apply as a transfer student. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 30 credits at Mitchell for an associate degree and 30 credits at Mitchell for a bachelor degree.
