  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Transfer Scholarships are available to new transfer students pursuing their 1st Bachelor degree who fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Transfer Scholarships are renewable up to six consecutive semesters with enrollment in at least 12 credit hours per semester at MSSU. The renewal criteria is now completion of 24 credit hours for the Fall and Spring semesters combined with a 3.0 Overall/Cumulative GPA at the end of the Spring semester.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    $243.73 tuition per credit hour. Other incidental costs for supplemental class materials, testing or other course-related costs may be assessed as required.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    If you are transferring from another university or tradeschool to MSSU and are looking to pursue your Bachelor's degree, you are considered a Transfer Student. We're excited to welcome you to our Pride!
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    MSSU believes that not all learning takes place in a classroom setting. MSSU is authorized to award college credit for knowledge and skills learned through life experience such as: work, military, internships, and accredited seminars/training.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    You must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at your previous university/institution to be considered for transfer admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all other universities/colleges you’ve attended are required. An official high school transcript may be required of some applicants.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores may be required of some applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    You must leave your previous university/institution in "good standing."

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is D. MSSU transfers all grades (including 'D' and 'F') and transfer courses are calculated into a student's cumulative GPA.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no limit of credits that may be accepted for transfer. You must complete 15 credit hours at MSSU to earn your associate degree, and 30 credit hours at MSSU to earn your bachelor's degree.
