Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Start the financial aid process by first completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid funds. You must complete the FAFSA each year. MSUM's Federal School Code is 002367. Minnesota State University Moorhead offers automatic, competitive and need-based scholarships to transfer students. Automatic scholarships, based on transfer GPA, are awarded at the time of admission.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA in post-secondary credits earned or attempted is required for admission consideration. All grades of F, NC (No Credit), or Incomplete will be treated as Fs in computing your GPA. A higher GPA may be required for entry into some academic departments.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official college transcripts are required. If you have completed fewer than 24 academic semester credit hours, official high school transcripts are required and you must meet freshman admission requirements.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement may be required of some.
• Application Fee:
  $20 non-refundable
• Other Requirements:
  A statement of good standing from prior institution(s) is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is D-.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  There is no limit for courses that may be accepted for transfer credit. You must complete 30 credits in residence at MSUM to earn your bachelor degree.
