  • Degree Completion Programs:
    Students must make contact with B.A.A.S. advisor, have 24 hours of vocational/technical credit, and be eligible for admission to the university.
  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Technical/vocational courses accepted from ACE - accredited programs and regionally accredited institutions.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Credit for work experience may be awarded based on evaluation.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Applicants with fewer than 18 non-developmental transferable hours must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0, be eligible to enroll at all institutions attended and meet beginning freshmen requirements.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all schools attended must be sent to Midwestern State University Admissions.
  • SAT Scores:
    See university admission criteria for SAT/ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are not required.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    Midwestern State University has a non-refundable, non-transferable application fee of $25.
  • Interview:
    Interview contact with a B.A.A.S. advisor can be via telephone, email, or in person.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    An associate's degree is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students under the age of 30 are required to show verification of vaccination against bacterial meningitis, before they can be cleared to register for classes. Students who are taking all of their classes online do not fall under this requirement.

    2.0 cumulative GPA is required on transfer work.

    Up to 91 hours can transfer from a four-year institution. No more than 69 hours can transfer from a two-year college.
