Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Minimum GPA - 2.0. (GPA requirements vary by program.)
  • Official Transcripts:
    A transcript must be sent directly from each college/university you have attended since high school. High school transcripts are not required if you have graduated from high school before 1986.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have been out of high school for more than five years or have already completed 20 or more transfer credits, test scores are not required.
  • Essay:
    An essay is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    For students in their first term, we would like a mid-term report showing your current grades. Other application requirements may exist, depending on your academic interest or financial need.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credit is granted for grades of C or better from non-Ohio regionally accredited institutions.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    If you have attended an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting agency, you must validate your coursework by earning 32 semester hours at Miami with a 2.0 cumulative GPA and satisfy any divisional and departmental restrictions.
