Today, more than 165,000 students attend Miami Dade College, a state-supported college with seven campuses, two centers and numerous outreach centers. We are the largest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the most highly regarded colleges in the nation. Each of our campuses has its own distinct identity and specialties. But, they also offer a broad base of general education courses, allowing you to take first-year classes at any of our campuses (except the Medical Campus).     The Financial Aid Office at Miami Dade College assists students in pursuing and reaching their educational goals by providing access to various federal, state, institutional and private donor funding. In support of the College's mission and vision, the Financial Aid Office is committed to providing quality service and reliable consumer information, by educating our students, their families and the community about the Financial Aid process.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Failing grades from other colleges are computed in the student’s cumulative grade point average.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official Transcripts from the applicant’s high school, college, university, or other post-secondary educational institutions are required. A high school transcript may be required of applicants who transfer with fewer than 12 credits.
  • SAT Scores:
    Not published.
  • Application Fee:
    The college credit admission application fee is $30.
  • Other Requirements:
    A student who was on academic probation at a previous college may be admitted to Miami Dade in similar status.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit may be granted only for courses in which grades of “D” or better have been earned.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer credits are accepted only from regionally accredited colleges and universities unless a written agreement between Miami Dade and a specific post–secondary institution has been previously approved.
