Metropolitan College of New York is a private, independent, not for profit institution of higher education. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    For consideration, transfer students must hold a minimum grade point average of 2.0 at their previous college.
  • Official Transcripts:
    ransfer students are also required to submit an official transcript from each institution previously attended, prior to start of the semester.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT or Entrance Exam are required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Two letters of Reference are required for applicants to The Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education.
  • Essay:
    An essay is required for applicants to The Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education.
  • Application Fee:
    A $30 nonrefundable fee must be submitted with the application (waived with online application).
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Metropolitan College of New York grants substantial credit for students who completed an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
  • Other Requirements:
    A student's credentials will be evaluated to determine if an entrance examination is required before entering the College.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades of C or better are eligible for transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Our flexible credit policy allows applicants to transfer as many credits as appropriate. Some students may transfer up to 90 credits, depending on program requirements and individual transcripts.
