• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Complete the FAFSA if you want to apply for need-based financial aid.
• Tuition and Fees:
  The average total cost of attendance is $49,590. This includes basic tuition and fees, double occupancy room, and meals (maximum costs).

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Messiah University welcomes students who have earned academic credits from other colleges and universities. To help you build community and establish friendships, we designate a residence hall floor each semester for transfer students.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  We recommend your cumulative GPA be 2.5 or higher to gain acceptance to most of our majors.
• Official Transcripts:
  An official college transcript from each school you have attended is required. Your official high school transcript is required if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits post high school graduation.
• SAT Scores:
  Standardized test scores are optional.
• Essay:
  As you complete the application, you will be asked to write a 200-350-word essay in response to the following question: Why are you interested in attending a faith-based college that affirms and integrates Christian beliefs?
• Application Fee:
  $50
• Interview:
  An interview may be recommended of some applicants.
• Other Requirements:
  A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Collegiate-level courses taken at a regionally accredited institution with a grade of C or higher are generally accepted.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  While there is no minimum/maximum number of credits that will be accepted for transfer, you must compete 30 credit hours and 12 in the major to earn your bachelor's degree.
