While Mesalands offers many certificates and degrees, the college is highly regarded for several unique academic programs, many of which are not offered anywhere else in the country. Our students have an opportunity to experience everything from the “old,” an Associate of Arts Degree in Paleontology, to the “new,” an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Wind Energy Technology at the new North American Wind Research and Training Center. In partnership with the University of New Mexico and Franklin University, Mesalands also offers a variety of Baccalaureate degrees.

Scholarships and Financial Aid:

Financial aid includes grants, scholarships, work-study, and student loans. At Mesalands Community College, most students qualify and receive grants and scholarships to help pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies, as well as some living expenses such as rent and transportation. The amount and type of financial aid that a student receives is determined by factors including household income and size, residency status, academic achievement, and choice of major.
Tuition and Fees:

State Resident- $48.00 per credit hour. Non-Resident- $89.00 per credit hour.

Official high school transcripts or a GED confirming high school graduation are to be sent directly to the College. Students who have attended another college or university should request official transcripts from each institution.
