Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcript(s) from each college/university attended are required. Official final high school, GED or high school equivalency transcripts are required if fewer than 24 semester hours of credit of college coursework has be completed.
  • SAT Scores:
    Test scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A current letter of academic or professional recommendation is required.
  • Essay:
    A college essay on the topic of your choice is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no application fee, giving you the opportunity to apply for free with nothing to lose and everything to gain.
  • Other Requirements:
    A Transfer College Report showing good academic standing is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Merrimack College reviews college courses with a grade of C- or higher for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Merrimack College will award up to 90 Transfer credit hours to incoming Transfer students. You must successfully complete at least 34 credit hours at Merrimack and 50% of the courses required for your major to earn your bachelor’s degree.
