    We can arrange a seamless transition of your credits. As a transfer student you'll receive the maximum number of credits allowed, enabling you to finish your bachelor's degree as quickly and as economically as possible.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.0
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school transcripts are required if applying with less than 12 credits or if there are no English courses in transfer. College transcripts from each institution attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT/ACT scores are not required. Applicants may be required to take and receive satisfactory scores on the Mercy University Placement Examination.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Essay:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    $40 nonrefundable fee must be submitted with the application.
  • Interview:
    An interview with an Admissions Counselor may be required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Minimum of 12 credits to qualify for transfer admission.
  • Other Requirements:
    Complete and submit the online application (or paper application if you prefer). Common Application accepted.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, credit may be granted for courses where a grade of at least a C has been earned.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Maximum credits from a two-year institution - 75 credits. Maximum credits from a four-year institution - 90 credits. Combine transfer credits from two- and four-year institutions may not exceed 90 credits.
