Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To be admissible to Mercer University, all transfer applicants must have a cumulative college grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official college transcripts is required. Official high school transcripts must be submitted if you are transferring les that 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit standardized test scores if you are transferring les that 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A statement of good standing from your prior institution is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Course work with a grade of C- or better that was completed at regionally accredited institutions will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis and considered for transfer as an equivalent Mercer course or as elective credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Mercer requires a minimum of 9 semester hours for transfer. The maximum from a 2-year institution is 64 semester hours. You must complete 32 semester hours at Mercer to earn a bachelors degree.
