  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the form used for the awarding of federal student aid along with state and institutional aid. Students should apply as soon as possible on or after October 1. McKendree University is excited to provide academically talented transfer students with scholarship opportunities. Students must be enrolled full time at McKendree to be eligible.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    The total estimated cost of attendance for a campus resident is $47,730 which includes flat rate tuition (12-18 credit hours per semester), room (based on Barnett, Baker, Walton), board, fees, books. loan fees, personal expenses and transportation.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Each application is reviewed holistically, however, to be considered for admission as a transfer student, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all coursework completed at the post-secondary level.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended are required. An official final high school or GED transcript is required if you have completed fewer than 12 post-secondary credits.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The student must have earned a grade equivalent to C or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in every course requested for transfer. Courses taken pass/ fail are not accepted in transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No more than 90 credit hours will be accepted toward a degree from any combination of transfer credit (junior and community colleges and four-year institutions) and prior learning assessment.
