  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The first step in applying for Financial Aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who want to apply for financial aid must complete and submit a FAFSA for every school year. Your aid eligibility is based on your current financial circumstances, so the Department of Education requires you to reapply every year so that they can re-evaluate your need for assistance.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    You must have a minimum GPA of 1.70 at the conclusion of the semester in which the total number of institutional and transfer hours attempted reaches 24 semester hours; or a minimum GPA of 2.0 at the conclusion of any semester in which the number of institutional and transfer hours attempted reaches or exceeds 64 semester hours.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If you have earned less than 24 transferable credits, your official high school transcript is required. Official transcripts of all previous academic work from each institution attended are also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have earned less than 24 transferable credits, your official ACT or SAT results are required.
  • Application Fee:
    A non-refundable, one-time $35 application fee is required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Transfer students who graduate from two-year institutions and have earned at least 60 semester hours of collegelevel credit will transfer to Mayville State with junior standing.

    Total hours earned and the grade point average from all transfer institutions are entered on the Mayville State University official transcript and are calculated for a cumulative grade point average.
