Marywood University, located in Northeastern Pennsylvania at the foothills of the Pocono Mountains, is a comprehensive, independent, private, Catholic university.     Be sure that Marywood has an electronic version of your FAFSA, and, if not, have a copy of your FAFSA released to Marywood University. Marywood’s school code is 003296. Scholarships for transfer students: Deans' $12,000 | Phi Theta Kappa $1,500 per year.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Undergraduate Tuition & Fees Per Year: $36,430 (12-18 credit hours) + $1,540 General Fee + $256 Student Activity Fee. Students should also anticipate Room & Board and other common fees.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Transferring to Marywood is ideal for students who want to make an academic change of some sort and for students who want to earn a four-year degree after completing a two-year degree.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Students may be able to present a portfolio to show that they have acquired college-level learning for particular courses.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Request that an official copy of both your high school and college transcripts (from all previous colleges you attended) are sent to Marywood University Admissions. If applicable, please forward an official score report from the General Education Dev
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Provide one letter of recommendation from a school-based counselor or academic teacher. We also welcome additional letters from teachers, friends, or family members who are familiar with your academic achievements and interests.
  • Essay:
    Submit an essay of at least 250 words.
  • Application Fee:
    The $35 application fee is waived when you submit through the Marywood online application, Common Application, or Apply Coalition with Scoir.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In order for credits to be transferred to Marywood from other colleges and universities, the courses must be college-level, and a minimum grade of C is required. (A grade of C- is not transferable.)
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A candidate for a baccalaureate degree must present a minimum of 120 undergraduate credits of college work that fulfill all general and departmental requirements; 42 of these credits must be earned from Marywood.
