Maryville College is a private, four-year, co-educational, liberal arts college. Founded in 1819, Maryville is the 12th-oldest institution of higher education in the South and one of the 50 oldest colleges in the United States. With an enrollment of nearly 1200 students, Maryville College is located in the city of Maryville, just 15 minutes south of Knoxville, Tennessee's third-largest city.     Applicants with 30 semester hours or more in college-level academic coursework should have earned a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
  • Official Transcripts:
    A student must submit an official transcript from each college attended. Students who have less than 30 semester hours of credit will also need to submit an official high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT or SAT scores are required for students who have less than 30 semester hours of college credit.
  • Letters of Recommendation:

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Generally, academic courses in which the student has earned a grade of "C" or above will be transferred and applied toward graduation requirements.

    Student may transfer any number of credits, but as a minimum, each degree candidate must complete 45 hours at Maryville College.
