Each year, approximately 200 students from two-year and four-year colleges throughout the Northeast choose to transfer to Marist.   • Accepts Transfers:
    Marist College welcomes and encourages applications from transfer students. Each year, approximately 200 students from two-year and four-year colleges throughout the Northeast choose to transfer to Marist.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit official copies of your secondary school transcripts. Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    Forward official results of the SAT or ACT exam (waived if you have completed at least 30 college credits).
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Send one additional letter of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    Attach a personal essay.
  • Application Fee:
    $50 non-refundable application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Provide a list of courses currently in progress (including course numbers).

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    College courses that you have may be considered for, and if appropriate, awarded transfer credit to Marist College. The courses must be taken at an accredited college or university, and students must earn a grade of "C" or higher in the course.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Maximum credits from a two-year institution - 70 credits.
