Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts is a four–year, nationally-accredited college offering Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Drawing, Illustration, Painting, and Sculpture. Its mission is to provide the best education in drawing, illustration, painting, and sculpture through study of the history, traditions, and principles of the fine arts and the liberal arts, thereby establishing a comprehensive foundation for the development of the artist.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Currently, 96% of the College’s student body receives some form of aid, which may include federal student aid, state grants, Lyme scholarships,and loans. There are many resources available to help you and your family pay for your college education. Lyme Academy College will help you in two ways: 1) by providing a financial aid package to those with demonstrated financial need and 2) by helping you understand and navigate through the process.

    Official transcripts from all high schools and colleges attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of Recommendation are optional.
  • Essay:
    An Artist's Statement is optional.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $55 application fee.
  • Interview:
    An Admission Counselor will work with you throughout the application process to determine if additional materials are required to evaluate credit transfer and properly place you into our programs.
  • Other Requirements:
    A portfolio of artwork is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A grade of “c” or better must be earned for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
