Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 2.3 is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    College transcript is required for all transfer students. If you have completed less than 24 credits at another college, a high school transcript is also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have completed less than 24 credits at another college, SAT or ACT test scores are required or you must complete the requirements to be test optional.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are not required but will be accepted if a transfer student wishes to submit them.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    Transfer students may apply online free of charge. https://www.lycoming.edu/admissions/apply/transfer.aspx
  • Interview:
    An interview is recommended but not required. Contact the Office of Admission to arrange a visit: admissions@lycoming.edu or 1-800-345-3920.
  • Other Requirements:

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.3 (on a 4-point scale). Credit will be granted only for courses which have a grade of “C-” or higher. Courses not taken for a grade (e.g. "Pass/Fail") will not transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Up to 64 semester credits at the Lycoming College 100 and 200 level, up to 32 semester credits at the Lycoming College 300 and 400 level for a total of 96 credits.
