Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Complete the FAFSA and see just how affordable Luther College can be. Use Luther’s school code of 001874. 98% of Luther students receive financial assistance. We offer several generous transfer scholarship and award opportunities.
• Tuition and Fees:
  The estimated total cost of attendance is $57,120 which includes tuition, double room, board, technology fee, and health & wellbeing fee. Other costs to consider are estimated books $1,040, an optional activity fee $240, and applied music lessons.

• Accepts Transfers:
  We welcome and encourage transfer students to apply to Luther. Transfer students bring diverse experiences and new perspectives that enhance the overall learning experience on our campus.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  A minimum college GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) is required of transfer applicants.
• Official Transcripts:
  Request that your final official high school and college transcripts be sent to us.
• SAT Scores:
  Submit your ACT or SAT test scores (if taken).
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Ask a teacher or counselor to fill out the Educator's Reference form and send it to us. A letter of reference via mail or email is also acceptable.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is required.
• Interview:
  An interview is recommended.
• Other Requirements:
  A Transfer Applicant Supplement form is required only if you've previously submitted an application to Luther for a prior term.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  A maximum of 64 credits may be transferred from a two-year institution. You must complete 64 credits at Luther College to earn your bachelor's degree.
