  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    All transfer students interested in competing for academic scholarships must: Submit an application for admission and all supporting documents to Loyola University by March 1 priority deadline, have a minimum cumulative 3.2 grade point average on a 4-point scale in academic subjects, as calculated by the Loyola Office of Admissions, and file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is no minimium GPA to be considered for admission to the university.
  • Official Transcripts:
    An official transcript from each college or university attended will be needed to complete an application. Upon completion of the current semester, send a follow-up transcript.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Have a letter of recommendation written by a teacher, counselor or employer.
  • Essay:
    Compose a personal statement of 300 words or less detailing your reasons for wishing to transfer to Loyola and what factors influenced your choice to apply.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $20 application fee, but the fee is waived if you apply online at http://apply.loyno.edu/application/.
  • Interview:
    No interview is required, but we incourage all applicants to visit the university and partipate in a tour and meeting with an admissions representative.
  • Other Requirements:
    Submit a résumé displaying significant community involvement and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A transfer applicant is a high school graduate or GED recipient who has completed 12 or more transferable semester hours of college-level work. Admission to Loyola as a transfer student is competitive.
