Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Admission for transfer students is selective. The admission evaluation for transfer students is primarily an academic review. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70 in previous college work is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts are required, as well as your official high school transcript.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A College Official's Report from each institution attended is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 application fee.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses equivalent to three or four credits in which a grade of C or higher has been earned can be accepted for transfer credit. A course with a grade of C- or below will not be accepted in transfer, regardless of the point value assigned by the
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students must satisfactorily complete at least 20, three-, four, or five-credit courses at Loyola University Maryland. Of the last 20 courses, 15 must be taken at Loyola.
