Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    GPA requirements vary by school.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit your college transcripts for review from all two- or four-year colleges that you have attended. If you’ve earned less than 20 college credit hours, please submit an official high school transcript or GED results.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you’ve earned less than 20 college credit hours, please submit your SAT or ACT scores.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply, and your application for admission is also your merit scholarship application.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students can transfer a maximum of 64 credits from a two-year college to Loyola. Students must take their final, uninterrupted 45 hours of instruction or a minimum of 64 hours in residence at Loyola University Chicago.
