Founded in 1962, Lake-Sumter State College is consistently ranked in the top 150 community colleges nationwide and among the best in the state of Florida.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Complete the FAFSA using Lake-Sumter’s school code 001502. Lake-Sumter State College offers a variety of scholarships to students. General eligibility criteria include a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, enrollment in a minimum of 6 hours, degree-seeking, and demonstrate financial need unless otherwise noted.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Total Estimate Annual Cost of Attendance Associate Degree (living off campus): $18,384 In-State | $28,368 Out-of-State. Bachelor Degree: $18,760 In-State | $28,901 Out-of-State. Tuition rate does not include additional fees that may be assessed.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college and high school transcripts are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT or SAT test scores should be sent to the Admissions and Records Office. Test scores must be less than two years old. Applicants who do not have test scores will need to take the PERT test. LSSC’s Testing Center offers the PERT.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students that have been Florida residents for at least 12 months must provide documentation to receive the in-state tuition rate.

    Students must earn a minimum of 25% of their degree or certificate credits at LSSC to be eligible to receive a degree or certificate from LSSC.
