  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Financial aid programs were developed by federal and state governments, as well as by institutions of postsecondary learning to assist students from families with limited resources in meeting their educational expenses. The primary purpose of financial aid is to ensure that no person is denied the opportunity of attending college because of financial need.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    All transfer students who have completed 24 or more semester hours of college work must have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.00.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transcripts of all college work attempted are required. All transfer students who have completed less than 24 semester hours of college work must also submit High School Transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    All transfer students who have completed less than 24 semester hours of college work must also submit ACT or SAT Test Scores
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of recommendation from the Dean of Students or the Vice President of Student Affairs verifying a satisfactory citizenship record is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $30 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    A letter of good standing from the registrar of the institution last attended is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All credits earned with a grade of "C" or better from a regionally accredited institution of higher education will be accepted for transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You must earn 16 credits at KSU to earn an associate degree, and a minimum of 32 in residence to earn a bachelor's degree.
