Kennebec Valley Community College, one of the seven colleges in the Maine Community College System, is a commuter college located on a sixty-four acre campus in central Maine. KVCC was organized in 1969 by the 104th Maine Legislature and first classes began in the fall of 1970, with 35 full-time and 131 part-time students. Since then, KVCC has undergone many changes and has grown to an enrollment of 2,529 full and part-time students enrolled in credit courses for the fall semester, 2011. In addition, KVCC offers a comprehensive schedule of continuing education courses and business and industry outreach programs.

Two-thirds of our students receive tuition assistance from various sources. When applying, you will be considered for a variety of federal, state and private programs. Scholarships are also offered from the Kennebec Valley Community College Foundation. We can help you apply for financial aid to help you get the money you need to go to college.

Official Transcripts:

Submit official high school transcript or adult diploma and/or GED test scores, as well as official transcripts from all colleges attended.
Application Fee:

Complete and submit application and non-refundable $20.00 application fee.

Transfer Credit Policy

Minimum Grade:

Transfer credit may be awarded for course work completed at an accredited institution of higher education with a grade of "C" or higher.
Credits (Min/Max):

A student must earn a minimum of 25 percent of his/her diploma or degree credits in residence. A specific program may require a greater percentage of credits to be earned in residence.
